GTIA Channel Breakfast Meet Up

Understanding the Trends, Pressures, and Priorities Shaping the Irish IT Channel

20th May 2026 | 9:00-9:45

Cyber Expo & Conference Ireland – Leopardstown Pavilion, Dublin

Helping Irish ITSPs Prepare for the Next Channel Shift

AI is shifting from hype to operational reality, and the channel is feeling the pressure on every front. Economic conditions, geopolitical uncertainty, and constant technological change are all converging at once, forcing partners to rethink how they operate, compete, and invest.

This isn’t the first time the channel has had to navigate major change. The move from resale to services and the shift from on-premise to cloud, each separated the partners that acted decisively from those that waited for the picture to clear, and 2026 feels like another important turning point. Customers are asking more questions, technology is moving faster, and IT service providers are under pressure to find clearer, more valuable ways to support their clients, all while dealing with tighter margins, growing complexity, and an increasingly competitive market.

For Irish ITSPs looking to navigate what’s ahead, this 45-minute breakfast meeting offers a chance to cut through the noise and get a clearer view of where the channel is heading. Taking place on the morning of Cyber Expo & Conference Ireland, the meeting will bring together Irish IT service providers for a focused discussion before the main conference gets underway.

During the session, Patrick Burgess, GTIA’s Industry Education Instructor, will share key State of the Channel insights for Ireland, looking at the most critical trends, pressures, and strategic implications shaping the industry, and what needs to be prioritised now to stay competitive in 2026.
