Susan Daly, Managing Editor, The Journal
Susan Daly is Editor of TheJournal.ie, Ireland’s first national-focused digital-only seven-day news publication. Daly leads a newsroom of over 20 journalists, spearheads content strategy and innovations in storytelling, focusing also on the overall company goal of creating a sustainable business model around online news consumption. In her spare time, she has contributed to the SOAR Foundation for youth empowerment and the Common Purpose leadership development programme. Her career began in teaching, but she has now spent nearly two decades in Irish newsrooms including the Irish Daily Star to the Irish Independent, as reporter and day news editor, and as frequent contributor to radio and television current affairs panels.
