In-Person Lunch

Your App. Their Device. Who Controls the Risk?

Discover how attackers reverse engineer, tamper with and clone mobile apps after release, and how organisations protect them on every device they run on

Thursday 19th November | 12PM-3PM

Uncover hidden exposures and unexpected AI usage inside your apps

Your organisation controls how its mobile app is built, but once that app is downloaded it is running on a device you don’t control, and that changes the security equation.

Mobile apps can be reverse engineered, tampered with, cloned and manipulated after release. Attackers can target the code, credentials and encryption keys inside them, or exploit the environment around the app while it is running. In August, Zimperium’s zLabs researchers identified an Android banking trojan built to attack 349 banking and crypto apps on customers’ own phones.

As organisations build and release apps faster, including with the growing use of AI-assisted development, securing what happens after an app leaves the development environment needs to be planned from the start.

To mark Zimperium’s launch in the Irish market, Renaissance is bringing the Zimperium team to Hawksmoor Dublin for an exclusive lunch session on how attackers are targeting mobile apps today.

Who Should Attend?

Whether your organisation publishes mobile apps or you advise customers that do, this session will give you a practical look at a security challenge that sits outside the traditional enterprise perimeter.

Following the presentation, we’ll continue the conversation over lunch with the Renaissance and Zimperium teams.

Places are limited, so early registration is recommended.

Key Takeaways:

We’ll look at:

  • How attackers analyse, manipulate and exploit legitimate mobile apps
  • What happens to your app once it is running on a customer’s device
  • Where vulnerabilities and supply-chain risks can enter during development
  • How organisations can protect code, sensitive data and cryptographic keys
  • How apps can detect and respond to threats while they are running
  • What these developments mean for organisations developing mobile apps in 2027

Zimperium protects mobile apps across their full lifecycle, combining security testing, application shielding, key protection and runtime protection, from development through to every device the app runs on.

Mobile apps are under attack. Are you protected?

The Venue: Hawksmoor, Dublin

Hawksmoor’s roots trace back to Will and Huw’s friendship over early morning McMuffins and post-school hand-cut chips. With family backgrounds rich in food, they were destined for the industry. Inspired by memories of superb steak suppers and unimpressed by most restaurant steaks, they embarked on a 17-year journey, travelling the world to find that the best steaks come from carefully reared cattle on small farms.
